Heat Shrink Tubing
Heat shrink tubing is widely used to protect, seal, and insulate electrical and mechanical wires, cables, and cords. When heated, this tubing shrinks to conform tightly to the shape of wires and other components inside of it, creating a durable protective layer. It is used in many applications including connector-to-cable transitions, stranded and solid wire conductors, and sealing applications that require both mechanical and environmental protection.
Heat shrink tubing is commonly used in environments with extreme or fluctuating temperatures, moisture, and vibration, including many aerospace and automotive applications. It’s also used in consumer electronics, where it provides neat, professional insulation around delicate connectors. Specialized options, such as flame-retardant or chemical-resistant tubing, ensure optimal performance even in demanding environments. Dual-wall tubing includes both adhesive sealing material and insulating properties for maximum durability.
At National Plastics and Seals, we offer a wide range of heat shrink tubing in different materials, colors, and sizes to meet different performance requirements, such as:
Insulation Sleeving
Insulation sleeving is another crucial component for protecting wires and cables. It is typically manufactured from fiberglass and coated with acrylic, silicone, or other materials. Insulation sleeving safeguards against heat, abrasion, and electrical hazards. It also helps maintain system integrity, prevents short circuits, and prolongs the service life of components.
In addition to traditional fiberglass sleeving, options like silicone-coated or braided sleeving have enhanced flexibility and thermal resistance. These solutions are found not only in industrial motors and transformers but also in renewable energy systems like wind turbines and in sensitive medical devices that require dependable insulation under continuous operation.
Our insulation sleeving products are available in multiple diameters and materials to ensure:

Resistance to high temperatures to prevent heat damage and fire hazards.
Provides an added layer of protection to maintain safe current.
Reduces wear from vibration, friction, and physical impact.
Protects against ingress of moisture and chemicals.
Rubber O-Rings
National Plastics and Seals is recognized globally as a trusted supplier of rubber O-rings and seals. These circular elastomer components are critical for preventing fluid or gas leaks in all kinds of systems. When they are seated in a groove and compressed between two or more surfaces, O-rings create a secure, reliable seal.
We provide O-rings made from many types of polymers, including nitrile for general-purpose sealing, EPDM for resistance to weathering and steam, and Viton for exceptional chemical and fuel resistance. Our o-rings can be used in hydraulic systems, pneumatic controls, aerospace fuel lines, and food processing equipment.
With a wide range of sizes, materials, and compounds available, our O-rings offer several advantages including:

Conforms to small surface imperfections to ensure tight sealing.
Delivers reliable performance at an affordable price.
Suitable for static and dynamic applications across industries.
High Performance Plastics
We fabricate and machine many components from high-performance plastics that are durable and long-lasting under extreme conditions. These advanced polymers offer superior thermal stability, chemical resistance, mechanical strength, and electrical performance compared to standard plastics.
You’ll find high-performance plastics in medical implants, where biocompatibility and strength are vital, and in semiconductor manufacturing, where resistance to chemicals and high temperatures ensures process stability.
High-performance plastics are generally divided into these three categories:

Continuous service temperature (CST) over 150 °C but below 200 °C; includes PPS, PEI, PES, PEEK, and PI.
CST between 200 °C and 300 °C; includes PBI, PEKK, PEK, and advanced PEEK grades.
CST over 300 °C; includes PTFE, FEP, and PFA.
Plastic Profiles
Extruded plastic profiles are made by forcing molten plastic material through a precision die. As the material moves through the die, it takes the shape of the die, such as a tee, u- or v-shape, channel, or flat bar. These shaped strips serve countless functions, from edge protection and joining panels to capping edges and covering gaps.
In addition to standard shapes, National Plastics can extrude custom plastic profiles to meet your requirements for applications including construction, furniture, retail displays, lighting, electronics, appliances, and more.
Some common profile shapes are:

- Flat bar strips
Used for covering joints and transitions and for protecting edges.
- Angle trims
Provide corner reinforcement and edge finishing.
- T sections
Creating a clean join or division between materials.
- H sections
Connecting larger panels, boards, or sheets.
- Channels
Capping or covering sliding tracks or cables in assemblies.
Films & Tapes
Plastic films and tapes are lightweight and flexible for packaging, protecting surfaces, and other industrial applications. These products are typically manufactured from polyethylene, polypropylene, polyester, and other resins.
Beyond packaging and agricultural uses, plastic films and tapes are commonly found in sterile healthcare product packaging, and in electronics for insulation and component protection. Plastic film and tape are strong yet flexible, and can be customized for many applications, including:

To secure and protect food, electronics, and consumer goods.
For mulching and covering greenhouses.
As protective sheeting, barriers, and insulation.
Reliable packaging for sensitive equipment and supplies.
