Custom Design & Plastic Fabrication of Acrylic Pastry Displays

A customer in the retail industry approached National Plastics & Seals, Inc. in need of a custom-designed pastry display which was to be used to house the donuts the client sells. Working closely with the customers on the entire process, we created the product tailored to their needs. First we designed the case, and then fabricated it. The process included sawing, edge finishing, drilling, and bending. We assembled it, applying solvent bonding, and then individually packaged each product. Our quality equipment used throughout included a table saw, a joiner/planer, a drill press, and calrod heater tables.

The finished display was made of clear acrylic. It measured 16 inches long and 20 inches wide. It was 3/16 inch thick. We ensured we met a tight tolerance of ± 1/16 inch.

Special features of the display case included removable shelves and hinged doors. We produced 100 units of the displays and shipped them to the client in Schaumburg, Illinois.
