A customer in the research industry contacted National Plastics & Seals, Inc. in need of a custom-fabricated acrylic vacuum chamber. The product was to be used for research and product testing. We worked very closely with this client to ensure all specifications were met. First we designed the vacuum chamber, creating AutoCad drawings based on the customer’s design concepts. Then we applied CNC routing using a techno CNC router, ensuring the highest possible tolerance. We then flame polished, hand buffed the edges and assembled the product, apply weld-on #40 to produce a crystal clear air-tight structural bond. Finally, we custom packaged the vacuum chamber and shipped the three units to the client in Cary, Illinois.
The finished product measured 40 inches long, 20 inches wide, and 16 inches high. We used 1.250 inches thick clear cast acrylic. Special features included NPT fittings, O’Rings, and stainless steel hardware.
We thoroughly inspected the products prior to shipping them to the client, who was extremely satisfied with the service and production. To learn more about this project, or for more information on our other products and services, please contact us.
